Collective

An AI literacy and creative studio for people who think different. Premium in philosophy. Open in access.

An AI literacy and creative enablement programme that equips learners to use generative AI with discernment and sound judgment, keeping the human as the director of their thinking.

A new room. A new way. For the makers, the misfits, the curious ones who refuse to hand their judgment to the machine. Welcome in.

Working name. Final name pending. The body and brand are locked.

01 · Philosophy & ethos

The room we are building.

The dominant story about AI is replacement. It produces anxiety, and anxiety produces two bad outcomes: people who refuse to engage, and people who hand their judgment over entirely. We exist for a third path.

What we believe

AI should make you more you, not less. You stay in the driver's seat. We just hand you a faster car and teach you to drive it with style.

We deliver AI literacy that strengthens human critical judgment rather than displacing it, keeping learners as active decision-makers, directly aligned with national goals for responsible, human-centred AI adoption.

Everyone is handing their brain to a robot. Cute. You stay the boss. We just make you dangerous with the tools.

Who we are

We are not the cool kids' club with a velvet rope. We are the open door. The misfits who happen to make beautiful things. We are premium in philosophy and radically open in access. Those two things are not in tension. They are the whole brand.

We are an inclusive learning initiative that removes barriers to participation, widening access to AI skills across demographics, ages, and confidence levels, with pedagogy grounded in current research on AI agency and human judgment.

No velvet rope. No bouncer. No list. We're the misfits the gatekeepers forgot to invite, making the best stuff in the room. Pull up.

Who this is for

For the generalist in an age that overvalues the specialist. The curious person who wants to understand the whole landscape. The creative who left their imagination somewhere and wants it back. The professional who senses AI literacy is now a form of power. The parent who wants their kids and parents to understand this shift.

Adult learners across disciplines and career stages, including working professionals, corporate cohorts, and intergenerational household learners, served through programmes that build cross-sector capability and lifelong learning.

Too many interests to fit one box? Good. The boxes were always too small. This one's yours.

What we promise

Come as you are. Leave more yourself. You will stay the director of your thinking, leave with a trained eye, belong to a community that celebrates difference. Agency, taste, belonging, joy.

On completion, learners are able to evaluate and select appropriate AI tools, apply structured prompting to achieve intended outcomes, exercise critical and aesthetic judgment over AI-assisted work, and retain authorship and decision-making over the final result.

Stop performing. Start being unmistakably you. Train your eye until your work could only ever be yours.

02 · Voice system

One soul. Three rooms.

Toggle the switch in the top corner. The belief stays the same. Only the voice changes. The same idea, dressed for the right room. Community for our tribe. Institutional for IHL, SSG, and government partners. Event for the room where we rally.

Humans must stay the director of their own thinking.

Aesthetic judgment is the human skill AI cannot replace.

Train your eye. Taste is yours, not the algorithm's. We help you find what only you can see.

We develop learners' evaluative and aesthetic judgment, a higher-order, transferable skill that AI cannot supply and that underpins quality output.

The algorithm has no taste. You do. We sharpen your eye until your work could only ever be yours.

Test many tools. Learn to judge between them. Choose what fits you.

Toggle between Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and the best of the East. We do not crown winners. We teach you to pick yours.

Our tool-agnostic, vendor-neutral pedagogy builds transferable evaluation skills, so learners can assess and adopt evolving tools rather than depend on a single platform.

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, the East's heavy hitters, all on one screen. We don't sell you a favourite. We teach you to play them like instruments.

Stop performing. Start being authentic. No judgment here.

Done being judged? Same. This is a no-side-eye zone. Explore, mess up, find your voice.

We cultivate a psychologically safe learning environment that encourages experimentation, which is strongly linked to engagement and learning outcomes.

Sick of being judged? Burn the rubric. Mess up loudly. This is where you stop performing and start being unmistakably you.

A generous community where members teach and celebrate each other.

We hero each other here. Share your work, lift the next person. The opposite of gatekeeping.

We foster a peer learning community that reinforces skills through collaboration and knowledge-sharing, extending learning beyond contact hours.

We steal nothing and hype everything. Show your work. Lift the next one up. Gatekeeping is for cowards.

We are not the best. We are the best place to start.

We are not going to lie and say we are the best. We are growing. But we are the best place to start, and the most honest place to keep going.

Backed by Pixlr Group's global platform, with tens of millions of users worldwide and existing education-sector collaborations, and developed under doctoral research into AI agency and human judgment.

We won't pretend we're the best, that's what insecure people do. We're new, we're hungry, and we're the most honest room you'll learn this in. Grow with us.

03 · How we teach

The method is the brand.

Four principles. Each chosen because it makes a learner more capable of their own judgment, not more dependent on ours.

i

Exploration, not instruction

You do not learn taste by being told what is good. You learn it by trying, comparing, and developing your own eye. Our job is to widen the field of what you can see, then get out of the way.

ii

Comparison as a thinking skill

Toggle between the models. Test East against West. The skill is not using a tool. The skill is judging between tools. That skill outlives every model on the market today.

iii

The platform does the teaching

The Pixlr and Designs.ai suite was built to amplify, not replace. The template structure exposes the architecture of a good prompt from day one. You learn by doing, because the layout itself is the lesson.

iv

Train the eye

Taste here means aesthetic judgment, the felt sense of what looks and feels right to you. Not what an algorithm scores highly. Yours. A trained eye is the one thing AI cannot hand you, and the one thing that makes everything you make with it worth looking at.

04 · Who we serve

Three doors. Same room.

A dual-tier model with a third door for the young, served through schools and institutions so the literacy travels across generations from the start.

Individuals

Working professionals & curious adults

For the generalist who is done being told they are too much of this and not enough of that. The professional who wants AI literacy without losing themselves to the tools.

Adult learners across career stages seeking transferable, vendor-neutral AI capability with strong critical-judgment outcomes.

The ones who want to keep their voice. Their taste. Their hands on the wheel. This is your door.

Corporates

Teams & enterprise cohorts

For teams that want their people to use AI without losing the human craft that made them worth hiring in the first place.

Cohort-based corporate enablement programmes building organisational AI capability while preserving employee critical judgment and creative authorship.

Train your team to use the tools and keep the soul. Both, or it isn't worth it.

Youth & families

Schools, tuition centres, households

For the kids and grandparents who deserve to understand this shift, not fear it. We bring the literacy to where families already are.

Programmes designed for delivery via schools, tuition centres, and intergenerational household contexts, supporting national digital inclusion goals across age groups.

If the robots are rewriting the world, the whole family gets the cheat codes.

05 · Community model

Two circles. Concentric. Generous.

A community of learners who hero each other, surrounded around an inner circle of trainers who carry the ethos forward. Spirit is fragile when it is young, so we start small.

THE COMMUNITY Mindset advocates · learners · alumni INNER CIRCLE trainers · keepers of the spirit trained in tools and philosophy
i
By invitation

We start small. A handful of trainers, a handful of learners. The spirit is fragile when it is young, and a small room protects it.

ii
Paid membership

As we grow, the doors open wider. Training and platform access bundled together. Generous by design so people explore rather than ration themselves.

iii
Introduction and sponsorship

Eventually the community governs its own growth. Members vouch for members. The culture is carried by people who live it rather than policed from the top.

iv
Shared seats for family

Members can bring kids and grandparents in on shared invitations. Intergenerational by design. Households learn the shift together.

Studio glamour.
Editorial cinema with a neon edge.

A dark, cinematic base that signals depth without secrecy. A warm rose-gold accent that signals old-Hollywood glamour brought into the present. An editorial display serif paired with the Pixlr family body sans. Every move traces back to the parent guides. We do not challenge Pixlr. We go deeper into the moodiest, most cinematic instinct it already holds.

The dark base, the warm accent system of rose-gold and blush, and the Pixlr cyan, purple and DSAI indigo carried through as visible family handshakes. The signature is the rose-gold paired with porcelain blush on the cinematic near-black ground. The family colours live in the atmospheric washes behind every section, the cyan family pip in the header, the gradient strip across each belief card, the cyan glow under the active voice toggle, and the per-trainer secondary tints on the cards below. We do not describe the lineage. We let it appear.

Signature treatments

The neon-name portrait system

Each member of the inner circle and each featured speaker is treated with the large letterform-and-portrait composition seen across the trainer cards above. Rose-gold neon outline lettering, warm-toned portrait inside, near-black ground. The treatment travels across event collateral, speaker introductions, member profiles, and editorial features.

The editorial cover system

Feature releases, programme launches, and seasonal communications use a magazine-cover format. Big display serif title, eyebrow label, tagline, single hero element with cinematic lighting and high depth of field. Echoes the parent photography direction at full intensity.

The trainer profile (cyber-editorial)

Modal or full-page profiles use glass-blurred panels over the dark base, rose-gold rim lighting, stat cards, specialty tags, and signature course lists. Inspired by the founding cyber UI reference and translated into the studio-glamour register.

Photography direction

Inherited directly from Pixlr's own guide and pushed to the academy's intensity. High shadows, low highlights, vibrant colour, golden-ratio composition, high depth of field, with a hint of blue, purple or teal. Avoid stock imagery. We elevate the cinematic instinct the parent already sanctions.

08 · Family lineage

We follow Pixlr. We go deeper.

Every move the academy makes traces back to a sanctioned move in the parent guides. We are not departing. We are giving expression to the moodier, more cinematic, more premium instinct that already lives in the parent DNA but rarely gets to fully sing.

Pixlr · the parent

Three brand colours represent the three main tools. Cool, vibrant, energetic, mass-market. Type is Open Sans. Photography rules already require high shadow, low highlight, vibrant colour, high depth of field, and a hint of blue, purple or teal. Avoid stocky images.

XXX Collective · the academy

We inherit the family near-black anchor. We deepen the base for cinema. We draw the rose-gold accent from the Designs.ai gold family, refined to a warmer, more glamorous metallic neon. We retain Pixlr's cyan and purple as accent moments, family handshakes. We follow the photography rules at their fullest intensity.

The defensible insight

Pixlr's own photography rules describe a cinematic, high-shadow, vibrant, deep-focus aesthetic with hints of blue, purple or teal. Designs.ai's extended palette already carries gold and champagne tones. The shared near-black anchor of #23262B is the family floor. Every academy move can be traced to a sanctioned move in the parent system. There is no departure to defend. There is only a deeper expression of what is already there.

09 · Why we rebrand

The current name does not carry what we are.

"Pixlr Academy" reads as a tool tutorial brand. It tells the market we teach a product. It does not tell the market we teach a way of thinking. Our actual offer is a generational shift in AI literacy with the human at the centre. That cannot ride into the world on a name that sounds like a software class.

What "Pixlr Academy" signals

A training arm of a software product. Tool-led. Feature-led. Mass-market. Useful, replaceable, undifferentiated. The market is full of brands that sound like this and they win on price, not on philosophy.

What we are actually building

An AI literacy and creative enablement initiative whose central thesis is human agency, taste, and judgment. A premium-philosophy academy with radical access. A new room for the misfits and generalists. A community-led model that grows on referral. None of that lives in the current name.

What the rebrand unlocks

Independent positioning. Premium pricing power. A defensible philosophy in front of IHL, SSG and grant audiences who care about human-centred AI. A community brand learners want to wear. A platform for regional and global scale that does not over-index on Pixlr's mass-market read.

What we keep from Pixlr

Everything that matters. Backing, scale, platform credibility, the family palette anchor, the typographic handshake, the photography DNA. We rebrand the surface. We deepen the family. We do not abandon the parent. We make it look more interesting from the outside.

Internal · for product team
10 · Platform · what the brand requires from Designs.ai

If we promise this, the product must hold it.

The brand says we keep the learner the director of their thinking. We train their eye. We amplify rather than replace. Three platform features turn that promise into a working product surface. Without them, the brand is a story the product cannot back up.

Feature one

Memory and project folders

The platform learns the user across sessions and organises their work into project folders. Past prompts, references, decisions, and outputs carry forward. The user does not start cold each time.

This is foundational and overdue. If we are promoting a platform that gets to know you, that protects your way of working, and that builds your taste over time, the platform must have memory. Project folders make this concrete and visible to the user, and signal continuity and respect for their work.

Why this matters to the brand

Continuity is the proof of respect. A platform with memory tells the user they are not a session, they are a relationship. This is the difference between a tool and a studio.

Feature two

Student decision log with mirror feedback

A side panel where learners log their decisions as they work. Each entry pairs the prompt or move with a brief note on the thinking behind it. After each session, or at project conclusion, the platform offers a mirror review: pattern recognition, places where the learner showed confident judgment, places where they may have over-relied on AI defaults, and a direction worth exploring next.

Recommendation on framing

The mirror should layer three depths. Surface metrics such as time saved and productivity belong as a secondary tab, useful but not the headline, because efficiency is a byproduct of our brand not its purpose. Process patterns are primary: what the learner iterated on, kept, discarded, and second-guessed. This is where decision-making confidence becomes visible. Taste is the signature layer: the aesthetic and judgment choices that recur regardless of trend, the thing that is uniquely the learner's. The mirror's tone is coached, never graded. It offers one thing the learner is getting more confident about, one place they may be leaning on defaults, and one direction worth exploring next. This frames feedback as amplification of agency, not measurement of compliance.

Feature three

Design history and reference side panel

A collapsible side panel on the design surface that links each visual outcome to relevant design history and cultural reference. Where a composition echoes Constructivism, where a colour palette is a Memphis revival, where a typographic move references mid-century editorial design, where the look has surfaced in popular culture and film. Drop-down knowledge, collapsible in any order, so it sits beside the work without forcing attention.

Why this is the brand's most important feature

The brand says we train the eye. The platform must therefore have a train-the-eye surface. This is that surface. It turns every project into a lesson in influence, helps the learner understand why they like what they like, and replaces vibe-based judgment with informed taste. It is the single feature that most directly proves the philosophy in the product.

Together, these three turn Designs.ai from a generation tool into a learning studio. The platform stops being a place where outputs are produced and becomes a place where a maker is formed. That is the brand's promise, made operational.
